Logged on with a Temporary Profile on Windows 7

Today, I faced this weird scenario on my laptop running Windows 7 RC (7100). When I logged in with my credentials, I did not find any files on the desktop and none of the startup processes like Google Talk, Windows Live messenger started. On waiting for a while, I got this message pop-up from the system tray.

When I logged off and relogged in, I find all my desktop files intact, start-up processes were functionining and best part was that, it never showed any significance of a major error.

On looking through the eventvwr, I could see these series of events,

Windows was unable to load the registry. This problem is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights. DETAIL – The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. for C:\Users\Vj\ntuser.dat
Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile.
Windows has backed up this user profile. Windows will automatically try to use the backup profile the next time this user logs on
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

Well, I am still not able to figure out why my profile was not able to load itself. However, It’s an excellent concept to make a user work though, his profile is corrupted / Un-Available.
